Department of Communication

Columbus State University's Department of Communication prepares students for leadership roles in their careers by developing an understanding of communication theory and research methodologies as well as a proficiency in oral and written communication.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in communication offers a broad background in theory and in skills applicable to all communication contexts. You are welcome to personally visit our offices on the second floor of Arnold Hall. If we may assist you, please contact us at 706-565-3650.

The department sends out e-mails to all COMM majors from time to time containing important information. Be sure to check your CougarNet e-mail often. If you are not receiving these updates, please call to get on the mailing list.

What's Happening

Internship Notes: Final evaluations have been mailed. Please make sure your supervisors get those back to us by April 24, 2008.

Final Exams are April 29th - May 5th. Please check your calendars so you don't miss yours.

Congratulations to those graduating May 10, 2008! We're very proud of you!

Maymester classes begin May 12th.

June Summer Session classes begin on June 9th.
